The Arc's COVID-19 Guidelines

Due to the confined nature of shared transportation, Arc clients and drivers will continue to be required to wear masks while riding Arc vans regardless of vaccination status.

During Arc activities, masks are currently optional for fully vaccinated Arc clients, staff, and volunteersPlease note that The Arc may temporarily reinstate a mask requirement during activities in the event of an outbreak within our program.

For clients and volunteers who are not fully vaccinated, masks will continue to be required during all Arc activities.

If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow these CDC guidelines regardless of vaccination status:

  • Stay home and isolate from other people for at least 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the date of the day of the positive viral test for asymptomatic persons).  You can end isolation after 5 full days if you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and your other symptoms have improved.

  • Wear a mask around others for an additional 5 days after ending isolation.

If you are exposed to a close contact who tests positive for COVID-19, please follow these CDC guidelines:

  • If you are fully vaccinated (i.e. you have received all primary doses and any recommended boosters), you do not need to quarantine unless you develop symptoms.

  • If you are not fully vaccinated:

    • Stay home and away from other people for at least 5 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19. The date of your exposure is considered day 0.

    • If you develop symptoms, get tested immediately and isolate until you receive your test results.

    • If you do not develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.

    • If you test negative, you can leave your home, but continue to wear a well-fitting mask when around others at home and in public until 10 days after your last close contact with someone with COVID-19.

    • If you test positive, follow the isolate guidelines described above.
